Massachusetts Chapter Mission

What We Strive For

The Massachusetts chapter of GCL strives to introduce young girls and underrepresented minorities to the world of computer science. The MA chapter hopes to help these students cultivate a passion for CS and pursue a career in this field later on in their life.

Massachusetts Chapter Leader

Alicia Wu

Hello there! My name is Alicia Wu, and I’m 14 years old. I am currently a rising freshman at The Winsor School in Boston, Massachusetts. I am highly interested in computer science, despite being introduced to it recently, and I seek to expand my knowledge of it throughout high school. Some of my other passions include competitive swimming, singing, piano, reading, biking, and experimenting with cooking.

Girls Computing League works hard every day to help students achieve their dreams of entering a technical career field. We work with companies both to create higher education opportunities for students and hunt for mentors willing to support the next generation of computer scientists. However, we are reliant on our global community of enthusiasts, students and activists to bring about true change. If you are a student who would like to join this local chapter and be apart of the movement to bring about global change through computer science click on the button below to get started.
